Well done beats well intended.
For us, ecology is not a marketing promise – it is lived responsibility.
Since our founding, we have consistently considered ecological aspects at every step – from material selection and packaging to delivery and the question of what is possible at the end of a product's life.
But see for yourself.

Sustainable Procurement
We rely on our raw material suppliers to uphold a high level of social and ecological responsibility and to comply with applicable European environmental laws and standards. We therefore look for the following certificates and standards in our purchasing decisions wherever possible. Product-specific details can be found on the respective product page.
The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an independent, international organisation committed to ecologically responsible, socially just, and economically viable forest management. The FSC certificate ensures that wood and paper come from responsibly managed forests that meet strict ecological and social standards. It promotes the protection of forests, biodiversity, and human rights.
The PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) is a globally recognised certification system for responsible forest management. It ensures that wood and wood products come from forests managed in an ecologically, socially, and economically responsible manner. PEFC promotes the preservation of biodiversity, the protection of ecosystems, and social working conditions, while also supporting small forest owners.
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certifies textiles that have been tested for a wide range of regulated and non-regulated substances. The limit values of Standard 100 go beyond national and international requirements and cover all stages of processing, from yarn to finished fabric.
The GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is a globally leading certification for the production of textiles made from organically grown natural fibres. It ensures strict ecological and social criteria throughout the entire production chain – from raw material extraction to the finished product. GOTS prohibits harmful chemicals and upholds social working conditions in production.
The QUL (Qualitätsverband Umweltverträgliche Latexmatratzen) is an independent quality seal for natural latex mattresses. It ensures that mattresses are made from 100% natural latex and are subject to rigorous testing for harmful substances.
QUL certifies products that have been tested for harmful chemicals and meet strict material requirements. The seal also takes into account production processes and social criteria along the supply chain.
MOREGANIC is an independent standard for responsible agriculture – applied across the entire supply chain, from cultivation to processing. The certification assesses ecological integrity, ethical responsibility, and economic viability. For natural latex, this means: protection of soils and biodiversity, traceable supply chains, and social standards for all participants in production.
VOC emissions (volatile organic compounds) come from paints, varnishes, furniture or building materials and can affect air quality and health. There are various test standards for this: REACH-Regulation (EG) Nr. 1907/2006 regulates hazardous VOCs across Europe, the French VOC Regulation categorises building products from A+ (very low emission) to C, and the AgBB-Scheme assesses VOC emissions for DIBt approval in Germany.
DIN 53160 tests the resistance of materials to perspiration and saliva for items that come into contact with skin or mouth, such as toys, furniture, or textiles. The standard ensures that dyes and coatings do not transfer or release harmful substances through saliva or perspiration. Tested products are colourfast and safe for direct contact with people – particularly children.
EN 71-3 is part of the European standard for children's toys and regulates the migration of heavy metals. It ensures that no harmful substances such as lead, cadmium or mercury are released from toys in harmful quantities on contact with saliva, sweat or skin. Tested products fulfil strict safety standards and are harmless to children's health.
