    What are cold foam mattresses?

    A cold foam mattress is made from high-quality polyurethane foam that is foamed at low temperatures without chemical softeners – hence the name “cold” foam. The open-pored foam ensures excellent breathability and even pressure distribution. 7-zone cold foam mattresses provide precise support for your body – from head to toe – and promote a healthy spinal alignment.

    Due to their low weight, cold foam mattresses are easy to turn and transport. Many models are designed as dual-sided mattresses with two firmness levels (e.g. H2 and H3), allowing you to adjust the firmness to your preference. Cold foam is also very popular for partner mattresses in larger sizes, as your partner’s movements are barely noticeable.

    What should I consider when buying a cold foam mattress?

    When buying a cold foam mattress, pay attention to the density rating (RG) – the higher it is, the more durable and stable the mattress will be. A density of at least 40 kg/m³ is considered high quality. The firmness level is also important: H2 is suitable for lighter individuals or those who prefer a softer feel, while H3 is ideal for heavier users or those who prefer a firmer surface.

    What should I keep in mind during use?

    To extend its lifespan, you should regularly rotate and air out your mattress. For dual-sided mattresses with two different firmness levels, it is sufficient to rotate and air them out regularly so the foam wears evenly. Also look for a removable, washable cover made from breathable materials such as organic cotton to ensure a hygienic sleeping environment.
