Dear readers,

as part of the Berlin Design Week we open our doors for you on the 17th of October from 7pm.

There will be new furniture and two guests of honour:

Solaga Biotechnology Startup

On the one hand, we have invited the exciting biotechnology start-up Solaga. The founders, Benjamin and Johann, have developed an algae painting as part of a research project that cleanses the air of pollutants and toxins - a healthy painting called Alwe 50. The algae live in a specially developed picture frame and are unique in their structure. This results in artistic pictures. A perfect interior addition to our organic furniture, we thought :-).

From 7 to 7:30pm Johann and Benjamin from Solaga will give a lecture on pollutant purification by algae. The Alwe can be admired live in the showroom.

Street artist Emma Rytoft

Afterwards there will be an exhibition by the inspiring street art artist Emma Rytoft, who will also be on site.

Emma has lived and worked in Berlin since 2013. In recent years, she has realised wall paintings in Berlin, Bonn, Dubai and Munich. She has also exhibited selected works on paper in galleries in London, New York and Berlin and worked on commissions for magazines such as Elle Décor. Emma is an architect, artist and observer, inspired by cities and the people that bring them to life.

The exhibited works deal with the connection between nature and humans. We discovered Emma on Wandalism 2018 and fell in love with her special style. It is a great honour for us to show her works in our showroom.

In addition, we present some of the new ekomia collection.
