Sustainability Is Part of Our DNA
For us, ecology is not a marketing promise, but a responsibility we live by.
Since our foundation, we have been designing the entire product life cycle to be holistically sustainable - from material selection, packaging and shipping to recycling.
But see for yourself.

Specialised production
Our furniture stands for quality, durability and sustainability. With long-standing European partners and high-quality materials, we manufacture furniture for life.
Sustainable Procurement
In addition to our own tests for harmful substances, we also rely on our raw material suppliers assuming an above-average level of social and ecological responsibility and complying with European environmental legislation and standards. That is why we pay attention to the following certificates and standards when purchasing wherever possible. You can find product-specific details on the respective product pages.
The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an independent, international organisation that promotes environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable forest management. The FSC certificate guarantees that wood and paper come from sustainably managed forests that comply with strict ecological and social standards. It promotes the protection of forests, biodiversity and human rights.
The PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) is a globally recognised certification system for sustainable forest management. It ensures that wood and wood products come from forests that are managed in an ecologically, socially and economically responsible manner. PEFC promotes the preservation of biodiversity, the protection of ecosystems and fair working conditions and supports small forest owners.
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is a globally recognised certification system for textiles tested for harmful substances. Products with this label have been tested for over 300 harmful substances and fulfil strict human-ecological criteria. Testing is carried out by independent institutes and covers all processing stages - from yarns to finished textiles. The label therefore guarantees materials that are harmless to health.
The GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is a leading global certificate for the sustainable production of textiles made from organically produced natural fibres. It ensures strict ecological and social criteria along the entire production chain - from raw material extraction to the finished product. GOTS bans harmful chemicals, ensures fair working conditions and guarantees environmentally friendly processing.
The QUL (Qualitätsverband Umweltverträgliche Latexmatratzen) is an independent test seal for natural latex mattresses. It guarantees that mattresses are made from 100% natural latex and are subject to strict tests for harmful substances. QUL certifies environmentally friendly and safe products that are free from harmful chemicals. The seal also ensures sustainable production processes and social responsibility.
VOC emissions (volatile organic compounds) come from paints, varnishes, furniture or building materials and can affect air quality and health. There are various test standards for this: REACH-Regulation (EG) Nr. 1907/2006 regulates hazardous VOCs across Europe, the French VOC Regulation categorises building products from A+ (very low emission) to C, and the AgBB-Scheme assesses VOC emissions for DIBt approval in Germany.
DIN 53160 tests the sweat and saliva fastness of materials that come into contact with the skin or mouth, such as toys, furniture or textiles. The standard ensures that colours and coatings do not stain or release harmful substances through saliva or sweat. Tested products are colourfast and safe for direct contact with people - especially children.
EN 71-3 is part of the European standard for children's toys and regulates the migration of heavy metals. It ensures that no harmful substances such as lead, cadmium or mercury are released from toys in harmful quantities on contact with saliva, sweat or skin. Tested products fulfil strict safety standards and are harmless to children's health.
