Product Design - Mandatory Internship (f/m/d)

Full-time | Paid mandatory Internship | 6 Months | Winter Semester 2025/26 (Flexible Start)

What you'll do

• Conduct market and competitor analyses
• Carry out user research through surveys, interviews, and design thinking workshops
• Develop and visualize new product ideas (sketches, prototypes)
• Create basic digital 3D models
• Further develop prototypes into production-ready products in collaboration with our manufacturing partners
• Create detailed 3D drawings and illustrated assembly instructions
• Produce marketing materials in the form of videos and images

What you should bring

• You are enrolled in a design-related degree program and are looking for a mandatory internship
• You have already independently completed projects – academically, professionally, or privately
• You work in a structured, self-motivated, and solution-oriented manner
• You challenge existing norms, think creatively, and seek better approaches
• You are familiar with user-centered methods (e.g., Design Thinking, User-Centered Design)
• You are proficient with tools like Rhino, Keyshot, and Adobe Suite – or learn them quickly
• You have a strong sense for aesthetics, form, function, and detail
• You enjoy working in a team and can give and receive constructive feedback
• You have excellent English language skills
