    The Design Family Bed

    Simple, sturdy, and well thought-out: the Luna family bed is based on the proven Luna construction – featuring powder-coated steel legs in white or black and a frame made of fine oak wood. Two beds are joined together with a sturdy central support to form a spacious family bed.

    Make two from one

    Create your family bed by combining two widths between 90 and 200 cm. If the children need their own bed, the large bed can easily be reduced in size or transformed into two fully-fledged designer beds with the ‘1-to-2’ extension - for example into a double bed for the parents and a single bed for the child, or into two 120 cm or 140 cm beds for the children up to adulthood.

    The bed frame is made from solid, carefully selected oak. We finish the surface with an ecological, lightly white-pigmented furniture oil, which gives the bed its light-coloured appearance. At the same time, the wood remains breathable and is reliably protected against soiling.

    Robust legs made of powder-coated steel in white or black combined with solid oak wood enable the slim, minimalist shape of the bed. The mattress rests directly on the frame of this platform bed - this ensures a light look and a comfortable access height at the same time.

    The Luna bed comes with a gently angled headboard and a practical set of drawers for one or both sides - with smooth running soft-close runners. We recommend Wega as a bedside table - ideal for bed versions without drawers.

    Care
    • Dust with a feather duster or dry cloth. Wipe off light soiling with a damp (not wet) cloth. If necessary, the wood can be re-oiled after a few years to freshen it up and keep it resistant.
    • Powder-coated metal is easy to clean and durable. A soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning. For heavier soiling, you can use a mild soapy solution. Important: Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or scratching sponges, as these can damage the powder coating.
    Cleaning & Repair
    • Heavy soiling and scratches can also be removed selectively with the ekomia care sets. The stains are removed with furniture oil and pads with different levels of abrasion - depending on the degree of soiling.
    • Deeper scratches or chipped paint on the metal surface can be repaired with our paint repair pen in black or white.
