About the series
The artist's works reveal a fascinating fusion of surreal realities and personal experiences. Emma’s works create alternative worlds in which human figures, often obscured by clouds, plants or animal faces, exist in a vivid and enigmatic environment.
These worlds are imbued with philosophical, physical and biological inspiration drawn from her daily life. Symbols such as clouds, birds and cacti convey the meaning of dreams, freedom and resilience and question the supremacy of rational intelligence.
