Are you in need of advice on adjusting the doors of your wardrobe or cabinet? Look no further, we have some helpful tips to assist you in fixing crooked or improperly closing doors.
If you've recently assembled a new piece of furniture and are experiencing issues with the doors, there's no need to fret. We will show you step by step how to solve this problem.
In most cases, the root of the problem lies in the slope of the furniture. To determine if this is the case, grab a spirit level and place it in an upright position against the furniture. Ensure that the furniture is straight, then flip the level and measure once again.
If you've confirmed that the furniture is indeed crooked, you'll need to obtain wooden blocks or a similar item of the correct size to prop up the feet of the furniture. Once this is done, check with the spirit level to ensure that the furniture is now straight.
In most cases, the problem is solved when the cupboard is in a straight position. However, if you find that the door is not quite upright, you can adjust the hinges.
The door hinge has three important screws.
With the upper and lower screws, you can move the door downwards and upwards.
The rear screw moves the door backwards and forwards and changes the distance between the door and the cabinet body.
The front screw moves the door outwards and inwards to increase or decrease the opening.
